About The Position
Sutter East Bay Medical Group is seeking a full-time, clinic-based Neurology Physician in Castro Valley, California, affiliated with Eden Medical Center. This community-based practice requires competency in a wide range of neurologic conditions, with particular emphasis on electrodiagnostic medicine, including EMG/NCV testing and neuromuscular expertise. The East Bay neurology department has 16 providers across five clinic locations. Neurologists have subspecialty expertise in areas including headache, neuroimmunology, multiple sclerosis, stroke, dementia, movement disorders, epilepsy, neuromuscular disease, and sleep medicine. Two department neurologists also perform EMG/NCV. The group encourages collaboration and referrals among clinicians for additional expertise. Inpatient consultation or care is not currently required, though it may be included if desired by the clinician. Sutter East Bay Medical Group is a rapidly growing multispecialty medical group of more than 600 clinicians, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants, practicing in over 25 specialties throughout Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. It is affiliated with the not-for-profit Sutter East Bay Medical Foundation, which provides operational and administrative support, including technology, so physicians can focus on patient care.
Requirements
- Board certified or board eligible in Neurology.
- Must have a California license or obtain one before the start date.
- Completion of a neurophysiology fellowship with competency in EMG/NCV studies.

Responsibilities
- Provide clinic-based neurology care for a community-based patient population with a wide range of neurologic conditions.
