Physician, Neurology - Headache Medicine (San Francisco, CA)
About The Position
Sutter West Bay Medical Group is seeking a full-time, Board Certified/Board Eligible Adult Headache Neurologist to join the largest multispecialty neurology group in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is a unique opportunity to join a well-established and growing Headache program with strong regional referral volume, dedicated support staff, and the ability to shape the future of comprehensive headache care. The practice setting is modern, located in a new medical office building directly across from CPMC Medical Center. It offers an outpatient-focused approach with flexibility, combining in-person care with telemedicine. The role is part of a collaborative neuroscience environment with specialists in various neurological fields and opportunities for participation in grand rounds and multidisciplinary case conferences. While the primary focus is headache medicine, there is flexibility to tailor the practice based on interests, including expanding into community-based headache clinics, incorporating general neurology, participating in optional inpatient consults and call, engaging in clinical research, and teaching medical students and residents.
Requirements
- BC/BE Neurologist
- Fellowship and/or board certification in Headache Neurology
Responsibilities
- Perform Botox, occipital nerve blocks, SPG blocks, and more.
- Combine in-person care with telemedicine for longitudinal patient management.
- Participate in regular neuroscience grand rounds and multidisciplinary case conferences.
- Expand into community-based headache clinics across the Bay Area (optional).
- Incorporate general neurology (optional).
- Participate in inpatient consults and call (optional/variable based on interest).
- Engage in clinical research through the CPMC Neuroscience Research Institute (optional).
- Teach medical students and residents (optional).
