About The Position

Ochsner Health Baton Rouge is hiring full-time, board-certified or board-eligible nephrologists to join its expanding service line. The practice includes outpatient clinics, dialysis coverage at multiple outreach units, and rounding at one hospital. The group provides inpatient consultations; hospitalists handle patient admissions. The health system offers services for acute and chronic kidney diseases, including interventional nephrology and outpatient hemodialysis. Physicians share approximately four weeks of call annually, with no clinic scheduled during call week.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient nephrology care.
• Cover dialysis at multiple outreach units.
• Round at one hospital.
• Provide inpatient consultations; hospitalists handle patient admissions.
• Participate in a physician-group call schedule of approximately four weeks annually, with no clinic during call week.
