About The Position

Ochsner Health Baton Rouge is hiring a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible nephrologist to join its expanding Nephrology service line. The practice includes outpatient clinics, dialysis coverage at multiple outreach units, and rounding at one hospital. The group provides inpatient consultations; hospitalists handle patient admissions. Services for acute and chronic kidney disease include Interventional Nephrology and outpatient hemodialysis.

Physicians share approximately four weeks of call annually. There is no clinic during call week. The role offers an integrated, collaborative healthcare environment with a large internal referral network, multidisciplinary collaboration, and resources intended to support patient care and ease of practice. Opportunities are available in teaching, research, physician leadership, and community service. The health system uses the EPIC medical record platform.

Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible in nephrology.

Responsibilities

• Provide nephrology care through outpatient clinics.

• Participate in a shared call schedule, approximately four weeks annually.
