About The Position

Capital Health is seeking a Board-Certified/Board Eligible Physiatrist to join their rehabilitation team. This role focuses on acute care PM&R consults, with an emphasis on brain injury, trauma, orthopedic, and spinal cord injury management. There is also an opportunity to contribute to the growth of a new outpatient PM&R clinic. The position involves conducting inpatient consults, providing medical management for various conditions, assisting with disposition planning, collaborating on outpatient service development, ensuring quality outcomes, and engaging in program growth and quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inpatient PM&R consults across the hospital system for a variety of rehab needs, including brain injury, spinal cord injury, musculoskeletal, and medically complex cases
• Provide safe, evidence-based medical management, including spasticity treatment, bowel and bladder programs, comprehensive brain injury and SCI care, and post-operative medical and rehabilitation management
• Assist medical and surgical teams in optimizing next level of care recommendations and disposition planning to support safe, timely transitions
• Collaborate with hospital and rehabilitation leadership on the development and expansion of outpatient rehabilitation services
• Ensure quality outcomes, compliance, and an exceptional patient experience
• Engage in program growth, education, and quality improvement initiatives
