About The Position

Gibbs Cancer Center & Research Institute along with Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System located in Upstate, SC have an outstanding opportunity for a full time BC/BE Physician in Medical Oncology with a focus on Hematology. Our facility is accredited by the Commission on Cancer, the American College of Radiology and is a QOPI® Certified Practice. The new $65 million cancer center in Greer is part of a practice in Spartanburg, SC with satellite offices throughout the Upstate. The 10-county catchment area has a population of 1,613,000. The facility is equipped with 4 linear accelerators and 1 Cyberknife and is recognized by the NCI with an NCORP designation. The role is 80% hematology and 20% general oncology. Call is 1:9 with NP assistance on weekends. The position involves working with multidisciplinary teams and site-specific tumor boards. The EMR system used is EPIC. This is a PLSF approved institution.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical oncology care with a focus on hematology.
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams and site-specific tumor boards.
• Manage patient care within a 10-county catchment area.
• Participate in call rotation (1:9) with NP assistance on weekends.
