About The Position
We are seeking a Hematology & Oncology Physician for a Locum Tenens position in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role involves both inpatient and outpatient care, with a focus on clinical duties and after-hours call. The coverage period is from October 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026. The physician will manage a patient load of 10-15 inpatients per day and 15 outpatients per day, with a case mix of over 90% hematology (benign and malignant) and less than 10% solid tumor oncology. The position requires participation in a 1:5 shared call pool, with APP support available after hours. The physician will also actively participate in tumor board, order diagnostic tests and imaging, prescribe medications, and perform bone marrow biopsies and fine needle aspirations (FNA).
Requirements
- Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology
- Active MI License or willing to obtain
- BLS certification
- Hospital Privileges Required

Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient hematology/oncology consult service and rounding on patients
- Manage outpatient clinic and infusion center patients (predominantly hematology)
- Participate in shared call pool (1:5) with APP support after hours

- Perform bone marrow biopsies and fine needle aspirations (FNA)
