About The Position
Professional Care Medical Practices PC is a private, physician-founded, nationally accredited correctional health care practice providing comprehensive medical and mental health care in New York. The organization describes correctional health care as a hybrid of primary care, urgent care, emergency medicine, and addiction medicine, serving an underserved and diverse patient population. Professional Care is seeking a part-time Physician / Medical Director to provide on-site medical care at the Allegany County Jail in Belmont, New York. The flexible part-time position requires a minimum of 6 hours of on-site care per week. Compensation is negotiable based on experience, with a stated range of $130–$170 per hour. The company provides liability insurance, including tail coverage, a PTO/sick package for part-time employees, and partial licensure reimbursement.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine.
- Licensed to practice medicine in the State of New York.
- Board certified or board eligible.
- Maintain a current DEA number and be eligible to prescribe medications in New York State.
- Maintain active BLS (CPR) certification.
- Maintain a current driver's license.
- Provide a minimum of 6 hours of on-site care per week.
Nice To Haves
- Specialty training preferred in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Correctional Medicine, and/or Urgent Care.
