Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) and completion of a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Board certified/eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology at time of employment.
  • Licensed in the state of WA by the time of employment.
  • DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority.
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association.
  • Strong diagnostic, surgical, and communication skills.
  • Compassionate bedside manner and ability to handle emergency situations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive obstetric care for patients presenting in labor, including evaluation, management, and delivery.
  • Respond to obstetric emergencies and perform necessary surgical interventions, including cesarean sections.
  • Manage obstetric triage and collaborate with nursing staff to ensure timely and appropriate care.
  • Serve as the attending physician for unassigned patients and support private-practice physicians as needed.
  • Ensure continuity of care by communicating effectively with outpatient providers and consulting services.
  • Prescribe and administer medications or therapies to treat disease or injury.
  • Order radiologic imaging or labs as indicated.
  • Document all patient interactions accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR) inclusive of direct patient encounters and asynchronous care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical education, and interdisciplinary team meetings.
