About The Position

Physician participating in the care of inpatient obstetrical patients, including but not limited to coverage for labor and delivery and postpartum patients, obstetric emergencies, and triage.

Requirements

Medical degree (MD or DO) and completion of a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Board certified/eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology at time of employment.
Licensed in the state of WA by the time of employment.
DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority.
Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association.
Strong diagnostic, surgical, and communication skills.
Compassionate bedside manner and ability to handle emergency situations.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive obstetric care for patients presenting in labor, including evaluation, management, and delivery.
Respond to obstetric emergencies and perform necessary surgical interventions, including cesarean sections.
Manage obstetric triage and collaborate with nursing staff to ensure timely and appropriate care.
Serve as the attending physician for unassigned patients and support private-practice physicians as needed.
Ensure continuity of care by communicating effectively with outpatient providers and consulting services.
Prescribe and administer medications or therapies to treat disease or injury.
Order radiologic imaging or labs as indicated.
Document all patient interactions accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR) inclusive of direct patient encounters and asynchronous care.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical education, and interdisciplinary team meetings.
