About The Position

Palo Alto Foundation Medical Group is seeking a Physician, Internal Medicine, to provide patient care in San Jose, California. The role is supported by team-based care with NPs and PAs, a virtual inbasket support team, and collaborative relationships with specialists across the organization. The schedule is flexible, with full-time work structured over four days per week and part-time opportunities available. Patient visit durations are flexible, and remote video visits from home are available. Physician call is described as light and virtual, with calls initially screened by an RN, NP, and PAs. Palo Alto Foundation Medical Group is a large multispecialty medical group with more than 1,700 physicians across 40-plus specialties and practices throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. It is affiliated with the not-for-profit Palo Alto Medical Foundation, which provides operational and administrative support, including technology to support patient care.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care as an internal medicine physician.
• Work with NPs and PAs in a team-based care model to support paneled patient needs.
• Collaborate with specialists across the organization.
• Participate in virtual physician call, with calls initially screened by an RN, NP, and PAs.
• Take part in leadership and committee opportunities and contribute to quality-improvement projects.
