About The Position
Spartanburg Medical Center (SMC) located in Spartanburg, SC is seeking to hire a FULL-TIME BC/BE Infectious Disease physician to become part of the SMC – Center for Infectious Disease. The ID physician will join a group of 4 BC Infectious Disease physicians and 1 PA. This is a hybrid inpatient & outpatient position with half day clinics where providers maintain continuity of care by following their own patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. The program is supported by a dedicated inpatient and outpatient wound care team, infectious disease pharmacists, nutritionist, and mental health counselor. Outpatient services include a well-established Ryan White clinic, travel medicine, outpatient consultations, and primary care for Ryan White patients. The position utilizes the EPIC EMR system and is a PLSF approved institution.
Requirements
- BC/BE Infectious Disease physician.
- Full-time availability.
- Ability to work with a team of 4 BC Infectious Disease physicians and 1 PA.
- Proficiency in EPIC EMR system.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Ryan White clinic.
- Experience with travel medicine.
- Experience with wound care.
Responsibilities
- Provide hybrid inpatient & outpatient infectious disease care.
- Follow own patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings to maintain continuity of care.
- Participate in weekday and weekend call rotation (1:5).
- Utilize EPIC EMR system.
- Provide services including Ryan White clinic, travel medicine, outpatient consultations, and primary care for Ryan White patients.
