About The Position

Franciscan Health is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Hospitalist to join a cohesive team and meet the growing demand of our Hospitalist Program at Franciscan Health Michigan City. This is a high functioning program with great patient outcomes and high levels of physician satisfaction. The program is well-respected and there is a healthy relationship with hospital administration. The ideal candidate will be an Internal or Family Medicine physician who wants to be a part of the Franciscan Health Hospitalist Program, with a strong focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. The physician will display exceptional interpersonal skills and a desire to develop strong ties with the community and build long-lasting relationships with patients and their families. The physician will need to work collaboratively to coordinate and deliver the highest quality of patient care.

Requirements

• Board Eligible/Board Certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Intubation procedures required
• ACLS/BCLS required
• Doctorate Required
• Physician License (DR) - Upon Hire Required
• Board Certification in Specialty Discipline (or eligibility if appropriate) - Upon Hire Required
• Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association Upon Hire Required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association Upon Hire Required

• Will provide supplemental training if needed

Responsibilities

• Average inpatient volume: 15 – 18 patients per day
• Intubation procedures required
• Respond to Code Blue’s
• Coordinate and deliver the highest quality of patient care
