About The Position

This is a locum tenens position for a Physician specializing in Hematology Oncology. The role involves providing outpatient clinical services and on-call duties. The clinic operates from 08:00 AM to 04:30 PM on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The average daily patient load is 15-20 outpatient visits. The practice setting is an Oncology and Hematology outpatient clinic, which previously operated with two physicians and NP assistance. The clinic is equipped with an infusion center and onsite Complete Blood Counts (CBCs). Active recruitment for a full-time physician is ongoing.

Requirements

• Board certified in Medical Oncology and Hematology [MANDATORY].
• BLS and ACLS certifications [MANDATORY].
• Active Michigan medical license [MANDATORY]; IMLC will not be considered.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Willingness to work in Lapeer.
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR is preferred but not required.
• A copy of the NPDB self-query, pulled within the last 30 days, is required for presentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient clinical services on scheduled days (Monday, Wednesday, Friday).
• Perform clinic call duties.
• Manage an average of 15-20 outpatient visits per day.
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor board meetings.
• Utilize Cerner EMR system.
• Provide optional night and weekend on-call duties.
