Locum - Physician - Oncology
About The Position
This is a locum tenens physician position in Oncology at a standalone Cancer Center. The role involves both outpatient and inpatient care, with a clinical focus on Hematology (65% Benign) and Oncology (35% Malignant). The physician will manage adult and geriatric patients, participate in Tumor Board Meetings, oversee Bone Marrow Transplants and the Blood Bank, order tests and imaging, and prescribe treatment. The practice utilizes the EPIC EMR system. Inpatient coverage is mandatory, and candidates must be willing to provide these services. Outpatient and inpatient services are covered separately, meaning a provider will not manage both on a single day. The position requires managing more than 12 patients per day.
Requirements
- Board Certification in Hematology & Oncology
- Active South Carolina Medical License
- BLS and DEA Certification
- Availability for 2-4 weeks per month
- Clean background for emergency temporary privileges
- Willingness to provide inpatient services
