About The Position

Holy Cross Hospital is seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician for its brand-new Cancer Center located in Wheaton, Maryland. This new facility is conveniently located within walking distance to a metro station and a short metro ride to Washington DC. It is also co-located with the latest in radiation technology. The position involves providing inpatient and outpatient consultations, developing and providing treatment for all cancer types, and utilizing tertiary care centers when necessary. The physician will provide licensed medical care, including diagnosis and treatment (inclusive of surgery or pre/post-surgical care where appropriate), case management, and clinical research. The role requires managing complex and unpredictable situations and competence in technical, clinical, and surgical skills (where appropriate), cognitive, and interpersonal skills. The physician is expected to practice within established Medical Center and physician standards, adhere to key results areas, and support the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.

Requirements

BC/BE physician
Competent in technical, clinical and surgical skills (where appropriate), cognitive and interpersonal skills required to serve those patients receiving the above-mentioned services.

Responsibilities

Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations in Hematology/Oncology.
Develop and provide treatment in all cancer types.
Utilize tertiary care centers for complex cases.
Provide licensed medical care including diagnosis and treatment (inclusive of surgery or pre/post-surgical care where appropriate).
Perform case management and clinical research when appropriate.
Manage complex and sometimes unpredictable situations.
Practice within the established Medical Center and physician’s standards of practice (policies, procedures, protocols).
Adhere to key results areas of the Medical Center.
Support the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.
