About The Position

Board-certified surgeons are eligible for shareholder status after one year, granting them ownership and influence in the company's direction and governance. Physicians also have ownership in our Care Center’s Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC) and ancillary services, participating in specialized compensation models. Each Care Center operates independently, developing compensation plans that align with its unique philosophy and objectives.

Requirements

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery or Plastic Surgery with fellowship training in Hand Surgery.
  • Completion of accredited Hand Surgery fellowship training required.
  • Active or eligible for medical licensure in the applicable state.
  • DEA certification and eligibility for hospital privileges.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to high-quality, compassionate patient care.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in microsurgery, fracture care, nerve repair, tendon repair, and upper extremity reconstruction.
  • Interest in building strong referral relationships and community engagement.
  • Experience working within a collaborative orthopedic or multispecialty practice environment.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat disorders and injuries involving the hand, wrist, forearm, and upper extremities.
  • Perform surgical and non-surgical procedures consistent with specialty training and privileges.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans focused on restoring function, mobility, and quality of life.
  • Collaborate with hand therapists, primary care providers, specialists, and care teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, rehabilitation, and recovery expectations.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Participate in call coverage and physician collaboration as assigned.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based clinical practices.
  • Participate in community outreach, physician relationship-building, and practice development activities as appropriate.
  • Contribute to a collaborative physician-led culture focused on clinical excellence and patient-centered care.
