About The Position

Spine Surgeon specializes in diagnosing and treating conditions of the spine, including degenerative diseases, injuries, and deformities. This role involves both surgical and non-surgical care, with a focus on improving patient mobility, function and quality of life.

Requirements

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of residency in Orthopedic Surgery or Neurosurgery
  • Board certified or board eligible
  • Active and unrestricted medical license
  • Strong surgical and clinical decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and bedside manner
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment
  • Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
  • Attention to detail and precision

Nice To Haves

  • Fellowship training in Spine Surgery preferred

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat spinal conditions (e.g., herniated discs, spinal stenosis, scoliosis)
  • Perform surgical procedures such as spinal fusions, decompressions, and minimally invasive spine surgeries
  • Develop individualized treatment plans, including non-surgical options when appropriate
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (physical therapy, pain management, primary care)
  • Educate patients and families on treatment options, risks, and recovery expectations
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
