Physician: Gynecologic Oncology - Huntley, IL
About The Position
Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified physician, fellowship trained in gynecologic oncology, to lead and expand a strong community-based program. The current program provides access to cutting-edge minimally invasive and radical surgery, chemotherapy, clinical trials, as well as complex benign gynecology, preinvasive and high-risk screening, survivorship, sexual health, and lifestyle-focused clinics. Experience with and interest in clinical research, clinical trials through pharma and cooperative groups, and outcomes-based research are welcomed. Advanced laparoscopic and robotic skills are strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in contributing to a well-established oncology program in the northwest suburbs, joining the medical staff at Northwestern Medicine’s Huntley and McHenry Hospitals. The role is supported by a comprehensive gynecologic oncology program infrastructure, including a multidisciplinary team of specialists, dedicated support staff, advanced technology, and opportunities for clinical research and academic appointments.

- Fellowship trained in gynecologic oncology
- Advanced laparoscopic and robotic skills strongly preferred

Responsibilities
- Lead and expand a strong community-based gynecologic oncology program.
- Provide patients access to cutting edge minimally invasive and radical surgery, chemotherapy, and clinical trials.
- Manage complex benign gynecology, preinvasive and high-risk screening, survivorship, sexual health, and lifestyle-focused clinics.
- Engage in clinical research, including clinical trials through pharma and cooperative groups, and outcomes-based research.
- Utilize advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgical skills.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, interventional radiologists, hematologists, surgical oncologists, thoracic and breast surgeons, general surgeons, and urologists.
- Provide care at Northwestern Medicine’s Huntley and McHenry Hospitals.
- Participate in multidisciplinary GYO tumor boards.
- Access and participate in cooperative group and industry-sponsored clinical trials.
- Obtain a clinical appointment at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
