About The Position

Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC), a member hospital of Dartmouth Health, is seeking a General, Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join its established, collaborative, and growing Cardiology Practice in Bennington, Vermont. The role provides a full spectrum of services, including pacemaker services, with predominantly outpatient clinical responsibilities at SVMC. The practice offers collaboration with cardiologists and advanced practice providers, a focus on teamwork and optimal patient outcomes, an excellent call schedule, supportive administration, quality care, and an emphasis on provider and patient satisfaction. The salary range is $575,000–$625,000, and incentive compensation may be available in addition to base salary. A sign-on bonus and relocation bonus may also be available, subject to eligibility. The position is eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness through the health system’s 501(c)(3) nonprofit status.

SVMC is an integrated nonprofit health system with a 100-year history in health care delivery. It includes a 99-bed hospital and 25 primary and specialty care practices across nine locations in the greater Bennington area and nearby New York and Massachusetts. The organization has nearly 1,400 employees and serves approximately 75,000 people. The position is based in Bennington, Vermont, an area with cultural attractions, restaurants, skiing, snowboarding, and other outdoor activities.

Requirements

• Current or eligible for a Vermont medical license.
• Current or eligible for ABMS Board Certification, to be obtained within five years.
• Active hospital staff membership.

Responsibilities

• Provide a full spectrum of general, non-invasive cardiology services, including pacemaker services.
• Provide predominantly outpatient clinical care at SVMC.
