About The Position
Join a dynamic team of six experienced physicians and five advanced practice providers (APPs) in a practice poised for continued expansion. Engage in an advanced endoscopy program that features a comprehensive array of techniques in a state-of-the-art environment. The practice offers access to a high-volume, endoscopy-only ambulatory surgery center (ASC) paired with a cutting-edge inpatient endoscopy unit, both conveniently situated on the same campus. MAC anesthesia is utilized for all inpatient and outpatient procedures. The work environment fosters a collaborative culture that prioritizes professionalism, confidence, and teamwork. Modern facilities are equipped with Olympus 190 scopes, and Epic is used for clinical documentation, along with Provation for procedure-specific documentation. The call schedule is manageable, anticipated every 8 weeks. The typical daily workload includes 14 outpatient endoscopic procedures, while the inpatient census averages fewer than 10 patients, supported by APPs for inpatient consults. The role includes resident teaching and mentorship, contributing to the cultivation of future clinicians. The team is dedicated to innovation, exceptional patient care, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Requirements
- Board certified in specialty or board eligible (with expectation to achieve board certification within five years of eligibility).
- Valid Michigan medical license.
- Completion of 4th year advanced endoscopy training.
- Possession of a DEA registration.
- Current BLS certification and ongoing recertification.
- Recent NPDB Self Query Report (must be active and within 30 days).
Responsibilities
