About The Position

William Newton Hospital is seeking a Physician for their Family Practice. This role involves providing comprehensive healthcare services to patients of all ages. The physician will be responsible for preventive care, diagnosing and treating illnesses, managing chronic conditions, and coordinating patient care with other healthcare professionals. The position emphasizes patient-centered care, integrity, accountability, compassion, and excellence, aligning with the hospital's Standards of Behavior.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
  • Completion of an accredited residency program in family medicine.
  • Active state medical license, valid DEA registration, and Board Certification or Board Eligibility through the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM).
  • Strong active listening, verbal communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills to build long-term patient trust across generations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine physical exams, administer immunizations, and provide health education regarding diet, lifestyle, and disease prevention.
  • Order, perform, and interpret laboratory tests and imaging, diagnose acute and chronic illnesses, and create individualized treatment plans.
  • Monitor ongoing conditions (such as diabetes or hypertension), adjust care plans, and maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Consult with other healthcare professionals and refer patients to medical specialists when advanced care is necessary.
