About The Position

William Newton Hospital is seeking a Physician for their Family Practice. This role involves providing comprehensive healthcare services to patients of all ages, focusing on preventive care, diagnostics, treatment, and ongoing patient management. The physician will also be responsible for care coordination and consulting with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
  • Completion of an accredited residency program in family medicine.
  • Active state medical license.
  • Valid DEA registration.
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility through the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM).
  • Strong active listening skills.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build long-term patient trust across generations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine physical exams, administer immunizations, and provide health education regarding diet, lifestyle, and disease prevention.
  • Order, perform, and interpret laboratory tests and imaging.
  • Diagnose acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Create individualized treatment plans.
  • Monitor ongoing conditions (such as diabetes or hypertension) and adjust care plans.
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Consult with other healthcare professionals.
  • Refer patients to medical specialists when advanced care is necessary.
