About The Position

Saratoga Medical (DBA Saratoga Ascend) is hiring Family Medicine Physicians or Internal Medicine Physicians for an onsite opportunity in San Antonio, TX. This position offers competitive rates and the opportunity to provide care in a residential setting serving adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). Saratoga Medical (DBA Saratoga Ascend) has an exciting opportunity for a Texas-licensed Family Medicine Physician or Internal Medicine Physician to provide comprehensive medical care for adult residents with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and co-occurring mental health conditions at a state-supported living center.

Requirements

• MD/DO from an accredited institution.
• Active Texas Medical License in good standing.
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Active DEA Registration.
• Current AHA CPR Certification.
• Must successfully complete required drug screening, fingerprinting, and onboarding.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with IDD, behavioral health, residential, long-term care, or correctional settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to adult residential patients.
• Perform psychiatric assessments, treatment, and face-to-face evaluations.
• Manage a patient panel of approximately 25 residents.
• Complete annual physicals and quarterly documentation.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings as required.
• Respond to medical emergencies and required on-call coverage.
• Maintain accurate medical records and comply with facility policies.
