About The Position

St. Mary’s Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Medicine Physician to join our expanding primary care team. This full-time position offers a rewarding opportunity to provide comprehensive care to a diverse patient population in an established, patient-centered medical home. As a vital part of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, the Family Medicine Physician will play a key role in diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions, promoting preventive care, and fostering strong patient-provider relationships. Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible Physician licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the State of New York
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution
  • Strong clinical, diagnostic, and patient-centered communication skills
  • Adherence to Standard Precautions and utilization of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) are mandatory to ensure the safety of both patients and staff.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in an outpatient primary care setting is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, with a focus on preventive care.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans that align with best practices and patient goals.
  • Work collaboratively with specialists and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
  • Perform minor office-based procedures, such as suturing, skin lesion removal, and joint injections (if applicable).
  • Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment plans, and wellness strategies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and clinic efficiency.
  • Stay up to date with emerging trends and treatments in family medicine.
