About The Position

The Family Medicine Physician serves as a primary care provider for patients across the lifespan, delivering comprehensive, continuous, and compassionate care. This role emphasizes preventive health, chronic disease management, and treatment of acute conditions through a holistic, patient-centered approach. This is a hybrid position with responsibilities shared between hospital-based care and outpatient clinics, requiring flexibility and collaboration to ensure seamless continuity of care. Expected patient range will be about 14-24 patients per day.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution
  • Board Certification in Family Medicine (required)
  • Active and unrestricted state medical license (required)
  • Valid DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances
  • Successful completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE)
  • Compliance with continuing medical education (CME) requirements
  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and clinical software
  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to engage diverse patient populations
  • Strong teamwork and leadership capabilities
  • Knowledge of applicable federal and state healthcare regulations

  • Prior clinical experience in family medicine, primary care, or a related setting preferred
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations and detailed medical histories
  • Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests, including laboratory work and imaging studies
  • Diagnose medical conditions and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide patient education on preventive care, including screenings, immunizations, and lifestyle modifications
  • Refer patients to appropriate specialists when necessary
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient medical records
  • Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and institutional policies
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Maintain knowledge of and comply with regulations related to infection control, patient safety, privacy, pain management, and opioid prescribing
