Visas Accepted H1B Specialty Family Medicine Practice Details Marshfield Medical Center - Wausau Center is seeking a BC/BE Family Medicine provider to join our well-established primary care practice in Wausau, Wisconsin. • 100% outpatient practice with flexible scheduling that can support a 4 day work week • Work with a great group of both physicians and APC partners that has a nice mix of experience • Call is 1:12 and is phone call only • Multiple specialties and sub-specialty support on-site We strongly encourage our physicians to be involved in medical education and research to continue building our strong foundation of patient care, research and education for years to come. Within a few hours' drive, you can be in Minneapolis, Madison, or Milwaukee, and in even less time, get away from it all and enjoy the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin. The beauty of the area is enhanced by its various waterways and the proximity of Rib Mountain, one of Wisconsin’s highest points. Wausau offers its residents and visitors a myriad of recreational opportunities, including snow skiing, water-skiing, hiking, bike riding, swimming, golfing, boating, hunting, and much more. Central Wisconsin Airport (CWA) is only a 10-minute drive and provides connections to Minneapolis, Chicago and Detroit airports. Job Description Family Medicine Core Privileges includes the ability to perform history and physical examination, admit (if applicable to the setting), evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation to patients of all ages with a wide variety of illness, diseases, injuries, mental health conditions and functional disorders of circulatory, respiratory, endocrine, metabolic, musculoskeletal, hematopoietic, gastroenteric, integumentary, nervous, female reproductive, and genitourinary systems. This includes the pre-operative care of surgical patients and post-operative medical care of surgical patients and return to work issues.

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree
  • Successful completion of a Family Medicine residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or he Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
  • Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/ subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), as applicable.
  • If not board certified at the time of application, must have completed residency training within the last five years and must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of their residency training unless the appropriate governing Board waives such requirement.

Nice To Haves

  • Training at residency programs accredited by organizations other than ACGME, AOA, or Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada may be considered via the waiver of eligibility process.
  • Applicants who are not board certified at the time of application but who have completed their residency training within the last five years shall be eligible, however must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of their residency training unless the appropriate governing Board waives such requirement.
