The WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute and Department of Neurology at West Virginia University School of Medicine are seeking an Epilepsy Specialist qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV. WVU Medicine maintains a Level IV Comprehensive Epilepsy program. The Epilepsy Center includes hardwired video-EEG monitory units for both adults and pediatrics. The facility also features neuroimaging support including spectroscopic MRI and quantitative PET scans. The WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute (RNI) is a comprehensive multidisciplinary patient care, education, and research institute providing neurological and mental healthcare through more than 300,000 visits annually. The 300+ physicians and scientists of the RNI improve lives by pioneering advances in neuroscience, brain health, and therapeutics. The RNI team uses the latest technologies with academic, government, and industry partners to make tangible progress to combat public health challenges ranging from addiction to Alzheimer’s disease. The Department of Neurology provides comprehensive, interdisciplinary care for epilepsy, stroke, movement disorders, brain injuries, headache disorders, multiple sclerosis, cancer, sleep medicine, neuromuscular disorders, and neurodegenerative conditions, such as Alzheimer’s disease. WVU is a Joint Commission approved Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level IV Epilepsy Center.
