About The Position

Hematology/Oncology Opportunity – Join a Leading Multispecialty Practice in Greenville, NC. Our large, well-established multispecialty practice in Greenville, North Carolina, is actively recruiting a Hematologist/Oncologist to join our team and help us continue delivering outstanding cancer care throughout Eastern North Carolina. With nine locations throughout Eastern North Carolina, our practice offers a robust network of specialists and primary care providers working together to provide coordinated, high-quality care. Our comprehensive oncology program is designed to allow physicians to focus on patient care while benefiting from excellent clinical and ancillary support. Our Greenville oncology location features a 12-chair chemotherapy/infusion bay with on-site chemotherapy administration and the support of four Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). Comprehensive ancillary services include: In-house laboratory services, Full radiology and diagnostic imaging services, On-site Breast Surgical Oncology, Comprehensive breast imaging and biopsy services. Our practice is located just minutes from a large regional hospital with a Level I trauma center and advanced inpatient resources. The position covers only one hospital. Inpatient oncology care is managed by hospitalist oncology physicians, and our physicians’ inpatient responsibilities are on a consulting basis only. This model provides excellent continuity of care while allowing our oncologists to maintain a predominantly outpatient practice and an outstanding quality of life.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Hematology and Oncology.
  • North Carolina medical license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to delivering patient-centered, evidence-based care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient hematology and oncology care.
  • Provide inpatient hematology/oncology consultation only, with primary inpatient care managed by hospitalist oncology physicians.
  • Collaborate with specialists to develop coordinated, multidisciplinary treatment plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement and practice development initiatives.
  • Engage with the community and contribute to advancing cancer care throughout Eastern North Carolina.
