About The Position

Ochsner Health is seeking an Emergency Radiologist to join their Radiology department. This integrated healthcare system has a long history of serving, healing, leading, educating, and innovating. The Department of Radiology provides a full spectrum of radiological services with subspecialized radiologists, advanced technology, and radiology-guided therapies. They are a leading radiologic academic center in the Gulf South, supporting research and innovation with AI and Natural Language Processing. The Emergency Radiology section currently comprises 17 radiologists, many fellowship-trained. Full-time and part-time positions are available, with shift availability from 5 PM to 7 AM. Duties include covering ER and hospital inpatient examinations from Ochsner Main Campus and affiliated community hospitals/urgent care centers. The role involves working within a multi-disciplinary hospital system and transfer center with active surgical, transplant, cardiac, neurosurgical, MSK, and stroke sections. The work environment is collegial, with 5-6 radiologists on duty at any given time, including residents.

Requirements

Fellowship training in abdominal imaging, MSK, pediatrics, or neuroradiology is held by most of the current radiologists.
Ability to work shifts ranging from 5 PM until 7 AM.
Capability to cover ER and hospital inpatient examinations from Ochsner Main Campus and affiliated community hospitals/urgent care centers.
Willingness to work in a multi-disciplinary hospital system and transfer center.

Nice To Haves

Onsite capability is highly desirable.
Experience with AI modules for prioritization.
Familiarity with ONE EPIC medical record system.
