The practice is located at Orange Coast Global Medical Center in Santa Ana, California, a 282-bed hospital, Level II Trauma Center, and Burn Center. The Emergency Department has 15 beds plus 4 fast track beds, with an annual volume of 40,000 and a 27% admit rate. The patient mix includes an older population, a large Vietnamese population, and geriatrics on Medicare. On-call services include FM/IM, OB/GYN, Surgery, Ortho, ICU, Cardiology, NICU, and neurosurgery. Santa Ana, California, is a vibrant city in Orange County with a rich blend of culture, history, and community spirit, offering attractions like the Bowers Museum and the Santa Ana Zoo. Requirements
- Board Certified Emergency Medicine physicians.
- Previous ED experience preferred.
- Candidates wanting to work in an academic setting with current residents desired.
- Current CA state license is a plus.
- Visa Candidates are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients in the Emergency Department.
- Work in a 282-bed hospital, Level II Trauma Center, and Burn Center.
- Manage a 15-bed main ED plus 4 fast track beds.
- Handle an annual volume of 40,000 patients with a 27% admit rate.
- Care for a patient mix including older population, a large Vietnamese population, and geriatrics on Medicare.
- Collaborate with on-call services including FM/IM, OB/GYN, Surgery, Ortho, ICU, Cardiology, NICU, and neurosurgery.
