Physician - Critical Care - Up to $100K Sign On Bonus!
About The Position
Vituity is seeking day and night Critical Care physicians for Adventist Health Bakersfield, a 254-bed acute care hospital in Bakersfield, California, with a 30-bed closed ICU. The position includes some tele-coverage. The schedule includes two intensivists working 10-hour day shifts and one intensivist in-house for a 12-hour night shift. Hospitalists cover the ICU overnight from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. Vituity is a physician-owned partnership led by frontline physician owners. The partnership model offers autonomy and local control, financial transparency, equity ownership, profit distributions, and career development opportunities, with support from a national system and corporate healthcare team. Vituity describes its culture as team-oriented and focused on shared purpose, recognition, and improving care in local communities. The estimated annual base compensation is $275,000–$900,000, depending on site, specialty, clinical volume, schedule, and experience. Compensation for part-time and per diem roles is prorated based on clinical hours worked. Physicians participate in the partnership model from day one; total compensation, including partnership income, varies by site and may significantly exceed the stated range. A sign-on bonus of up to $100,000 is available for qualified candidates.
Requirements
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Critical Care.
- Residency training in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Anesthesiology.
- A current California state license is a plus.
