About The Position

The Physician Credentialed Trainer is responsible for the initial and ongoing training and support of all physicians and advance practice providers, super-users and end users of the electronic medical record (EMR) hospital system. The incumbent will support additional facilities and will include travel between facilities within the I80 market, including St. Elizabeth Medical Center Peru, St. Elizabeht Medical Center Ottawa, Center for Health Streator, and St. Paul Medical Center Mendota to provide Epic training and support.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree with 3 years of experience in a hospital environment with knowledge of informatics education and physician documentation, OR 7 years of experience in a hospital environment with knowledge of informatics education and physician documentation.
  • Epic end user experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail-oriented.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN or Bachelor’s Degree in a health-related field.
  • Epic Super user experience.
  • Staff development experience.
  • Clinical informatics education experience.
  • Current comprehensive cognitive knowledge about healthcare and clinical informatics including writing behavior objectives and organizing educational programs from conception to evaluation.
  • Understands and practices patient confidentiality; displays problem identification and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to assess and analyze needs, and coordinate/plan, implement, and evaluate educational programs.
  • Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of computerized documentation programs.
  • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Epic training and support to physicians, advance practice providers, super-users, and end users of the electronic medical record (EMR) hospital system.
  • Travel between facilities within the I80 market, including St. Elizabeth Medical Center Peru, St. Elizabeht Medical Center Ottawa, Center for Health Streator, and St. Paul Medical Center Mendota.
  • Conduct initial and ongoing training sessions.
  • Provide support for the EMR system.
