About The Position

UW Health in northern Illinois is currently seeking a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our growing hospitalist-based behavioral health team in Rockford, IL. Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Active Illinois medical license and DEA license or ability to obtain

Responsibilities

• Inpatient-focused role working with adult and adolescent psychiatric patients
• Work on a 42-bed inpatient psychiatric unit, including 26 adult beds and 16 child and adolescent beds
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including LCSWs, LMFT, pharmacist, occupational and recreational therapists
• Engage with an ED with dedicated psychiatry rooms and a 24-hour crisis intervention team
• Participate in academic appointment and teaching opportunities with the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford
• Collaborate with primary care and specialty providers throughout the SwedishAmerican Medical Group
