About The Position

Sutter Medical Group of the Redwoods (SMGR) has an immediate opening for a full-time general non-invasive Cardiologist to join their current 8-provider practice. The practice includes 6 non-invasive cardiologists, 3 interventional cardiologists, and 2 Advanced Practitioners, with excellent growth potential. The role involves clinical duties including call (1 night/week, 1 weekend every 7 weeks) and one week every 7 weeks of inpatient consultative-only service with hospital NPs. The office is spacious and new, located adjacent to the hospital, with an outreach clinic in Petaluma. There is a built-in referral network from strong PCPs within the group and patients with Sutter insurance plans. The office is equipped with three echo machines, three full-time techs (recruiting for a third), nuclear stress testing supervised by an exercise physiologist, cardiac CT capability, a device clinic, and a centralized anticoagulation clinic. An integrated EMR (EPIC) is used in both the office and hospital, and strong office support staff is available. The hospital has a Regional STEMI Program, Coronary Interventions, Pacemaker/ICD implants, Cardiac CTA with CT-FFR, cardiac MRI, and is ECMO capable. There is strong hospitalist and intensivist support at the 124-bed hospital.

Requirements

Board certification in general cardiology.
Transesophageal echocardiography capability required.

Responsibilities

Provide general non-invasive cardiology services.
Participate in call rotation: 1 night per week and 1 weekend every 7 weeks.
Conduct inpatient consultative services for one week every 7 weeks, supported by hospital NPs.
Utilize office ancillaries including echo machines, nuclear stress testing, cardiac CT, device clinic, and anticoagulation clinic.
Work with an integrated EMR (EPIC) in both office and hospital settings.
