About The Position
Sutter Medical Group of the Redwoods (SMGR) has an immediate opening for a full-time general non-invasive Cardiologist to join the current 8 provider practice (6 non-invasive, 3 interventional, and 2 Advanced Practitioners) with excellent growth potential. The practice is located in Santa Rosa, California and Novato, California, serving Sutter Santa Rosa Regional Hospital and Novato Community Hospital. The role involves a call schedule of 1 night per week and 1 weekend every 7 weeks. The practice offers spacious new offices adjacent to the hospital with an outreach clinic in Petaluma. There is a built-in referral network from strong PCPs within the group and patients with Sutter insurance plans. The practice includes 1 week every 7 weeks of inpatient consultative only service with hospital NPs. Office ancillaries include: Three echo machines, with three full-time techs and recruiting for a third, nuclear stress testing supervised by an exercise physiologist, cardiac CT capability, device clinic, and centralized anticoagulation clinic. The practice utilizes an integrated EMR (EPIC) in the office and hospital, and has strong office support staff. The affiliated hospitals are equipped with a Regional STEMI Program, Coronary Interventions, Pacemaker/ICD implants, Cardiac CTA with CT-FFR, cardiac MRI, and ECMO capability. There is strong hospitalist and intensivist support at the 124-bed hospital.
Requirements
- Board certification in general cardiology.
- Transesophageal echocardiography capability required.

Responsibilities
- Provide general non-invasive cardiology services.
- Participate in call rotation (1 night/week, 1 weekend every 7 weeks).
- Conduct inpatient consultative services (1 week every 7 weeks).
- Utilize office ancillaries including echo machines, nuclear stress testing, cardiac CT, device clinic, and anticoagulation clinic.
- Work with integrated EMR (EPIC) in office and hospital.
