About The Position

The University of Kansas Health System, Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, is seeking a clinically oriented and energetic Cardiac Electrophysiologist to join the Division of Cardiac Electrophysiology. The prospective faculty will join 10 electrophysiologists and is expected to play an integral role supporting the clinical expansion including outreach in the Kansas City metro, as well as research and teaching activities of the division. The Cardiac Electrophysiology (EP) Program at The University of Kansas Health System is one of the most comprehensive and busiest EP programs in the country performing all complex interventional electrophysiology procedures. We are consistently ranked in the U.S. News & World Report Top 50 hospitals for Cardiology and Heart Surgery. About the EP Program: Performs > 3,500 cardiac EP procedures with 50-50 mix of device and ablation procedures per year (~800 AF ablations, ~550 Watchman Implants, ~100 lead extractions, ~ 175 PVC/VT Ablations) Provides advanced cardiac care including a busy advanced heart failure and transplant program on our academic medical center campus Several ongoing industry and investigator-initiated trials Active ACGME clinical cardiac EP fellowship training program Supports a one-year non-accredited, arrhythmia fellowship with core focus on cardiac EP research.
