About The Position

The University of Kansas Health System, Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, is seeking a clinically oriented and energetic Cardiac Electrophysiologist to join the Division of Cardiac Electrophysiology. The prospective faculty will join 10 electrophysiologists and is expected to play an integral role supporting the clinical expansion including outreach in the Kansas City metro, as well as research and teaching activities of the division. The Cardiac Electrophysiology (EP) Program at The University of Kansas Health System is one of the most comprehensive and busiest EP programs in the country performing all complex interventional electrophysiology procedures. We are consistently ranked in the U.S. News & World Report Top 50 hospitals for Cardiology and Heart Surgery.

Requirements

  • MD, DO or equivalent
  • Board certified / eligible in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology
  • Eligible for licensure in Kansas and Missouri

Responsibilities

  • Support the clinical expansion including outreach in the Kansas City metro.
  • Engage in research activities of the division.
  • Participate in teaching activities of the division.
  • Perform complex interventional electrophysiology procedures.
  • Provide advanced cardiac care.
  • Participate in educational conferences.
  • Support a one-year non-accredited, arrhythmia fellowship with core focus on cardiac EP research.
