About The Position
Skilled Wound Care is seeking driven, self-sufficient Physician Assistants to bring cutting-edge bedside surgical care to patients within skilled nursing and long-term care facilities in Albuquerque and the surrounding Rio Grande Valley. This role offers true clinical autonomy, a surgical focus on procedures like debridement, skin substitutes, and ostomy management, and a high job satisfaction rate due to a meaningful mission and the absence of hospital burnout. Comprehensive training in advanced surgical techniques, professional mentoring, equipment, and credentialing is provided.
Requirements
- Valid New Mexico Physician Assistant License and unrestricted DEA.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel between facilities in the Albuquerque metro area.
- Ability to dedicate at least two full weekdays (Monday–Friday).
- Affable personality with excellent judgment.
- Ability to thrive in collaborative, long-term care environments.

Responsibilities
- Perform advanced wound care and minor surgical procedures directly at the patient’s bedside.
- Work closely with nursing home staff in the Albuquerque area, educating and empowering them to improve patient outcomes.
- Contribute to journals and establish best-in-class techniques.
