About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant (PA) in Live Oak, FL, to provide patient-focused care in a fast-paced urgent care environment. The role involves offering urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine services. This opportunity is ideal for PAs early in their career, including new graduates, and offers extensive support through on-site orientation, training shifts, a complimentary pediatric urgent care CE course, and NP on-call assistance for clinical decision-making. The position emphasizes utilizing the full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages from babies to geriatrics, and leading a small team of medical assistants. The clinics serve rural communities, providing access to care 362 days a year, and many locations qualify for state-funded tuition or student loan reimbursement grants, which the company supports in the application process. This role is presented as a two-year investment for career growth and community support.

Requirements

Physician Assistant Board Certification required
MSN, or higher education required
Are you DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (we cover the cost of the certification)?

Nice To Haves

Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred

Responsibilities

Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice
Diagnosing and treating cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues
Minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.)
Suturing
Splinting
General Orthopedic evaluations/management
Review of x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist, too)
General Dermatology
General eye problems
General EKG interpretations
Emergency management skills
General GYN expertise
Treating children of all ages
Occupational medicine
Telemedicine
