About The Position

District Medical Group (DMG) is recruiting a Vascular Physician Assistant to join its Surgery department. The PA will assist the Vascular team, including residents and attending physicians, in delivering high-quality care to patients evaluated by or admitted to Vascular services at Valleywise Health Medical Center (VWMC). Applicants must have completed Acute Care training.

Requirements

• Completed Acute Care training.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and perform history and physical examinations in inpatient and outpatient clinic settings.
• First assist the Vascular team in the operating room.
• Enter patient orders as directed by the attending surgeon.
• Review and discuss medical imaging and laboratory results with the attending physician, resident staff, hospital staff, and patients, as appropriate.
• Write daily patient notes and actively participate in team rounds.
• Assist in teaching residents, as appropriate.
