About The Position

Urology Nevada is hiring a Physician Assistant to join its urology practice, which has two offices in Northern Nevada. The Physician Assistant works under the supervision of a physician or surgeon, but may work independently and consult physicians when necessary. The position calls for experience in all areas of medicine, with the possibility of specializing in an area such as surgery. The role is full-time and in person.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in physician assistant education.
Clinical training experience.
Willingness to complete the continuing education hours required every two years to maintain certification.
State license to practice medicine.
Strong analytical and technical skills.
Detail-oriented, with good problem-solving skills.
Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to treat patients with compassion and empathy.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Interview, examine, and diagnose patients’ injuries and illnesses.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
Prescribe medications and suggest lifestyle changes.
Stitch wounds, set bones, assist in surgeries, and administer immunizations.
Review and maintain patients’ medical histories and records, and record patient progress.
Provide documentation for insurance companies.
Educate and counsel patients and their families.
Research current treatments, innovations, advances, and trends in the medical industry.
Conduct or participate in patient outreach.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
