About The Position

AFC Urgent Care is the leading Urgent Care brand with over 300 locations nationwide offering high quality patient-centered healthcare to our communities. Our state-of-the-art Urgent Care centers focus on the episodic treatment of acute illnesses and injuries on a walk-in basis seven days a week with lab and x-rays on-site. We are seeking a Full-Time Physician Assistant to join our Team in San Diego, California. AFC Urgent Care offers a stable and well-supported practice with an environment conducive to increasing your scope of practice. Scheduling options include 12 shifts monthly: 8am – 8pm. Typically 2 – 3 workdays per week, with 10 – 12-hour shifts and pre-approved overtime. Competitive pay is offered, with an hourly rate of $67-$73. The hourly blended rate with overtime from 10 and 12-hour shifts incorporated with base rates is $74-$83. Additional bi-weekly bonuses are provided based on patient volume thresholds.

Requirements

• Unrestricted medical license in California
• DEA Certificate
• NCCPA Board Certified
• At least one year’s experience in an ER, Urgent Care or Primary Care setting
• Available to work day, evening and weekend shifts

Responsibilities

• Treat patients of all ages
• Perform minor procedures (e.g., suturing lacerations, draining abscesses, etc.)
