The PA will perform duties as first assist in the OR under the direction of the Orthopedic Surgeon. This position consists of 2 days/week in Carmel in clinic. One day per week in Greenwood in clinic. 2 days per week in Carmel in the OR.

Requirements

• NCCPA Certification
• Valid license with state of Indiana
• Familiarity with EMR systems
• Proficiency as 1st assist in open surgical procedures
• Proficiency in surgical wound closure

Nice To Haves

• NextGen experience helpful but not required

Responsibilities

• Assists high volume orthopedic surgeon (Total Joint replacement) with surgical and clinical responsibilities.
• Perform duties as first assist in the OR under the direction of the Orthopedic Surgeon.
• Obtains, compiles, and records patient medical data, health history, progress notes, and results of the examination
• Instructs and counsels patients about the prescribed therapeutic regimens
• Assists Orthopedic Surgeon during surgery
