About The Position

This Advanced Practice Provider (APP) plays an integral role in delivering high-quality patient care across the inpatient, operative, and ambulatory settings. As a valued member of the surgical care team, the APP contributes to exceptional patient outcomes through comprehensive clinical management, collaboration, and continuity of care on the campus of Baptist Medical Center, NW OKC. This Physician Assistant is a part-time opportunity, (around 7, 12-hour shifts per month). The Physician Assistant provides medical consultation, routine patient care, and follow-up as directed. The Physician Assistant assists physician with procedures and serves as a liaison between the physician and the patient. Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires.

• Must be a Physician Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Participating in daily inpatient rounds and multidisciplinary care coordination.
• Assisting surgeons in the operating room across a variety of surgical procedures.
• Managing postoperative and trauma follow-up care in the outpatient clinic setting.
• Facilitating discharge planning and ensuring seamless transitions of care.
• Serving as a key liaison among patients, families, consulting providers, and ancillary departments to support optimal communication and patient experience.
