About The Position
The Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is seeking a Physician Assistant to partner closely with a reputable plastic surgeon. This role will involve practice within both ambulatory and OR intraoperative settings. The division is a leading provider of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for children and adults in Connecticut, specializing in a wide range of procedures including cosmetic surgery, breast reconstruction, craniofacial surgery, hand surgery, and facial treatments. The division is also active in teaching Medical Students and Residents through the University of Connecticut and Hartford Hospital.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Master’s program
- Licensed as a Physician Assistant in the state of Connecticut
- Certification as a Physician Assistant
Nice To Haves
- Plastic Surgery experience highly preferred
- Surgical experience preferred
- Experience as a PA highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with a reputable plastic surgeon to practice within both the ambulatory and OR intraoperative settings.
- Conduct ambulatory/outpatient responsibilities including postop follow up appointments and office-based procedures.
- Perform intraoperative first assist responsibilities for both reconstructive and cosmetic procedures, with a main focus on oncology breast reconstruction.
- Participate in inpatient rounding on a limited basis.
