About The Position
Winchester Hospital, a 183-bed regional hospital and leading provider of comprehensive health care services in the northwest suburban Boston area, is seeking a Physician Assistant for its Operating Room Team. The role includes first assisting in the operating room, including robotic surgery; performing bedside procedures; providing postoperative care in the ICU and on the floor; evaluating and admitting patients from the Emergency Department; and evaluating surgical consults.
Requirements
- Physician Assistant license in the State of Massachusetts.
- Clinical experience in Surgical Services with first-assist ability.
- State and Federal DEA licensure.
- BLS and ACLS.
- Basic computer skills.
Nice To Haves
- Basic computer skills with EPIC preferred.
- At least 1 year of clinical experience in a specialty.
- Experience managing General, Vascular, Thoracic, Spine, and Gynecologic Oncology surgical patients.
- Experience with chest tube placement and management.
Responsibilities
- First assist in the operating room, including robotic surgery.
- Perform bedside procedures.
- Provide post-op care in the ICU and on the floor.
- Evaluate and admit patients from the ED.
- Evaluate surgical consults.
