About The Position

Kelsey-Seybold’s Pain Management Center is actively recruiting a Physician Assistant to assist the clinic with the treatment of patients who suffer with pain. This is a position in a clinical setting, which would require one to be available between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Must hold a current Texas State Physician Assistant license.
  • Must have current DEA registration.
  • Must have current BLS certification.
  • Must have at least one year of experience in pain management or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the pain management physicians in clinic to achieve optimal efficiency in the practice of pain management.
  • Holding clinic and seeing patients for follow up visits, assisting these patients with the medical management of their disease.
  • Managing narcotics, narcotic agreements, opiate management administrative work and pre and post-operative procedural care
  • Working with primary care practitioners and other specialties with the management of patients who suffer from pain, providing a team approach that facilitates and enhances the quality of care for such patients.
