About The Position

USA Health Physicians Group is seeking a Physician Assistant for University Urology. The role supports the growing demand for general urology services by evaluating patients in outpatient and clinical settings, including new patients and follow-up patients after hospital care. The Physician Assistant also takes patient calls, discusses results, and applies knowledge of urology medications. The position requires completion of department, educational, and hospital requirements; adherence to infection-control and safety standards; regular and prompt attendance; and availability to work the defined schedule and overtime as required. Related duties may be assigned.

Employees in a regular position working 20 or more hours per week (0.50 FTE or greater) qualify for benefits.

Requirements

• Completion of an approved Physician Assistant training program.
• PA-C certification as a Physician Assistant.
• Alabama state licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant within 60 days.
• Knowledge of urology medications.
• A comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the listed requirements.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate general urology patient problems.
• Perform outpatient urology evaluations.
• Evaluate new general urology patients.
• See patients in the clinical setting for follow-up after hospital care.
• Take patient calls and discuss results.
• Complete mandatory department, educational, and hospital requirements.
• Adhere to current infection-control and safety standards.
• Maintain regular and prompt attendance.
• Work the defined schedule and overtime as required.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
