About The Position

Sutter East Bay Medical Group (SEBMG) is seeking a Physician Assistant to join its Urology team, supporting the Oakland Cancer Center and hospital team. Additional practice sites may include Antioch and Castro Valley. The role supports Sutter Oakland’s new Stanford Medicine-Sutter Health Cancer Center and works with a department of six physicians. Clinical work includes clinic, operating room, and daily rounds, using the Epic electronic medical record.

The guideline schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some weekend work and after-hours availability may be needed for surgery, and first-line after-hours call may be required.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current California Physician Assistant license or ability to obtain one.
• DEA certification.
• Ability to meet privileging and credentialing requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Surgical assisting experience.
• Prior surgical or urologic experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Urology team at the Oakland Cancer Center and hospital.
• Provide care in clinic and the operating room, and participate in daily rounds.
• Provide some weekend and as-needed after-hours coverage for surgery; first-line after-hours call may be required.
• Use the Epic electronic medical record.
